If you are like us then you probably have some little trinkets in your possession that might need a little shelf to sit upon. To be proudly displayed. A wee home for its tiny little trinket soul. We got you.

Our next workshop is Sunday June 14th, and it will be painting and decorating a little trinket shadow box shelf. You know, the little wooden ones that have little sections? We will bring those, as well as paints, decorative paper, lace, ribbon, magazines for collage, plus a trinket or two to nestle inside. It will be here at Flower Fist Art Market from 12pm -3pm.

You can decorate your trinket shelf to your heart’s desire. We can show you how to install mounting hardware so your wee shelf is ready to hang right away when you get home, and share some tips for non-permanent ways to secure your trinkets.

We are preparing to support our community as spring turns to summer, including but not limited to creating summer survival kits, supporting our queer community through safe-sex and self defense tools, sourcing cooling supplies for those at the local anti-|¢€ camp, and sending money to citizens on the front lines in LA and Minneapolis as they continue the fight against the injustices waged upon our people. YOU can help by coming to celebrate with us in community as we raise funds for next season. Come join us for food, music, vendors, and a good time ✨🕺

From Boston, MA, INNUMERABLE FORMS and from Cleveland, OH, @inoculation_band and @noxisdeathmetal join together on one show to decimate the Sacramento metal maniacs!! Succulent Sirens Presents: Mother’s Day Floral Tea Cup Workshop.

On Saturday May 9th inside the amazing Flower Fist Art Market we will show you how to create lovely fresh flower arrangements using vintage teacups. We have installed small ikebana kenzan pin frogs in the tea cups and have permanently secured the saucers to the cups to provide stability. These will be yours to keep or to give as a gift to use as a flower vase again and again. We will have a delightful selection of fresh flowers to work with, as well as snacks and beverages to enjoy while we create unique gifts for Mother’s Day.

We know it might sound a little cliché but we understand the importance of taking time out of our busy lives to make memories with people we love, which is why we have our two reservations for $85 for this workshop. And it doesn’t have to be biological family- chosen family is family too. Female, male, gay, straight, trans- a lot of folks are all capable of the nurture that comes with being a “mom”. All are welcome.

Feeling rage at the state of our world? Join us for a day of creating art and growing in radical relationship building. 🎨

Rage & Create is a one day maker space on May 3rd held at Flower Fist from 2-6pm. There will be stations to create custom lino printed items, make zines, collage, color together and build community with likeminded radical folks in Sacramento!

This is not a skill based event; you don't have to be an artist to participate, we will have community members assisting at each station.
